At Peacedale Sporting Clays, we shoot a wide variety of clay target sports.

Click on the links for an in depth look at each of the unique clay target sports we participate in.

Sporting Clays: In its early form, Sporting usually presented the shooter with two different targets. The targets used were normally quartering targets, crossers, driven, overhead, rabbits, springing teal amongst others the course creator might feel is challenging. Today, As the most popular form of clay shooting, English Sporting provides a shooting environment that offers different layouts and a constant challenge.

F.I.T.A.S.C.: This International Sport discipline is named after the Federation that runs it. FITASC is an Acronym for a French term that means the International Federation for Sporting Shooting. Competitions consist of 100+ targets shot over at least 4 sections, International competitions are as large as 200 targets over 8 sections shot through a time period of two to four days. The layout uses all the familiar speeds and angles of sporting clays. The rules for FITASC are slightly different from sporting, which makes it a more challenging game. We have 10-12 FITASC Parcours available everyday for shooting.

Mini-Shoots: Fun, non-competitive and with a low entry fee. Offers an introduction to sporting clays with easy target presentations.

Clock Shot: A unique course of sporting clays that is unique to Peacedale, it's fast, it's tough, it's fun. With 14 shooters per clock shot at 50 targets each, a shooter will se at least 700 targets for each clock shot.

5-Stand: This game utilizes sporting clays and offers shooters of all abilities a wide variety of exciting target combinations. Our 5-Stand consists of 30 traps including a tower and simulated game birds, such as teal, quail, pheasant and we even throw in bolting rabbits. We also feature a 3-shot 5-stand course available everyday for shooting.
