New Year's Mini Shoot Results @ Peace Dale, RI

We waited until the last minute till the weather station was showing clearing so we decided to go on with the shoot. With 26 shooters being signed up we went with a 5 station course. It was still damp but with no rain and temperatures in the upper 40's.

Only 14 shooters shot over 40/50 scores.

We are planning two Mini Shoots in January. The first will be on Saturday, January 12 and again on Saturday, January 26th. All Mini shoots have an 11 AM Shotgun Start.

At this time, we expect to be closed for three weeks of February, possibly Monday, February 11 through Monday, March 3rd. We will let everyone know in our February newsletter. We are open everyday for shooting sporting clays but reservations must be made in advance.

Finishing up this old year on a great note and with a top score of 47/50 was Rick Mitchell. Rick also had his name pulled for a raffle prize, the first time ever in 10 years of trying.

Again, we're trying to keep the price down as low as possible and keep offering mini shoots to our area shooters. We need to continue enjoying a sport the best way we can and shooting is still fun if we can afford it.

Those winning 4 boxes of shotgun shells each were Matt Briggs, Carol Karchaski, Rick Mitchell, Mike Primavera and Mike Vinette.

Remember, the more shooters that attend, the more shotgun shells will be raffled off. For each additional (5) shooters over 50 shooters, there will be an additional name drawn for 4 more boxes of shells.
